Wanderlust

I have to say, Lauren Blakely is one of my all time favorite author. I have purchased and read so many of her books but wanderlust took the 1 spot of all her books so far. It was such a delight to read and I fell in love with Griffin right from the beginning. Griffin and Joy fell in love but it was such a refreshing change to have 2 people fall so madly for each other but still kept their stands as far as living their life how they had planned. It made the saying “ if you love someone, set them free, and if they come back to you, it was meant to be” so true. They came back to each other stronger and more in love with each other. I LOVE this book. I tip my imaginary hat to you Ms Blakey. Keep writing, and keep the stories coming. Highly recommended. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Delicious!

I love everything that Lauren Blakely writes but this book is her very best book EVER! She did a wonderful job creating two characters that were absolutely mesmerizing because their yearning for each other was palpable in every chapter and their love of Paris came shining through in all of those chapters as well. I will most likely never visit Paris, except in my dreams, but after reading this delicious book I feel like I’ve walked the streets of Paris, dined on the fine cuisine and gazed at the moon from the rooftop terrace where Joy and Griffin find themselves falling in love with the city and each other. Best. Book. Ever.

So Swoony!!

So swoony Brit living in Paris, yeah I am all about that. I love that Wanderlust takes place in Paris and that its a good part of the story and not some side thought. I loved the romanticism from that. Joy and Griffin meet in such a romantic place, but things aren't that simple. They have a professional relationship first and that creates some wonderful tension and budding friendship. I really enjoyed their build up a lot, it was a little slow burn and I loved it. They have a fun energy about them through out. I really liked their storyline and loved reading in this world!

Heartwarming Romance

Lauren Blakely doesn't disappoint with her novel Wanderlust! Wanderlust is a heartwarming story told in DPOV by Joy and Griffin. "I believe Paris is where you go to reinvent yourself." Looking to start over after getting out of a bad relationship, Joy takes a job that brings her to Paris. A fresh new lease on life, a change she desperately needs at this point in her life. What she wasn't expecting was to fun into a hot and sexy man! The banter and chemistry between Joy and Griffin is off the charts, until they realize that he has been assigned to be her translator at work. They come to an agreement that they can just be friends, yet they have a hard time being just friends, as the both want so much more then just friendship. "This woman might be the toughest client I've ever had, since I'm going to spend every second resisting her." This is a sweet romance novel about taking chances and living your life to the fullest!

Wanderlust

I really enjoyed this book, it’s a fun and sexy read. It’s cute how Griffin and Joy met (using fakes names too). As they become friends, will they cross the line? Oh yes, it’s so HOT when they finally kids and finally be together. But he’s got his bucket lost to finish, and I felt heartbroken when she gets a job off and might leave. Is there love enough? I highly recommend this book.

4 Wanderlust Stars!

Wanderlust was an absolute gem. It was sweet, heartfelt, swoony, and sexy. Lauren Blakely makes you want to pack your bags and travel to Paris. I know for sure, I want to go back to Paris and retrace the steps of Joy and Griffin. P.S. How could anyone not fall in love with these characters and of course the city of love, Paris. Did I mention a British for a hero? Yup, sexy accent for the win.

Wanderlust is Lauren Blakely’s Best Book to Date!

Reading a book by Lauren Blakely is like drinking a fine wine where each taste just gets better and better. Wanderlust takes you on a journey which captures your imagination thru all of your senses. The readers can smell the fragrances crafted by Joy, a Texan fragrance chemist, who has relocated to Paris for her job. The readers can imagine the taste of the chocolate in the croissant as it melts on Joy's tongue. This reader could hear the sexy British accent belonging to Griffin, assigned as Joy's French translator. This reader felt goosebumps when the author shared Griffin’s reaction to Joy when he said: “I dip my head toward the crook of her neck, bending until my nose is inches away from her bare flesh. The scent of lush gardens floats into my nose as I close my eyes and draw a deep breath. My skin heats, and my bones hum. My nerve endings snap to attention. Along with other parts.” Oh my! I wish Griffin would sniff my neck! 😉 This reader enjoyed discovering Paris thru the eyes of the author, who traveled to the City of Lights when researching for this book. In Wanderlust, Lauren Blakely avoided the tourist traps, instead focusing on sundials and angels hidden in plain sight throughout the city. She brought Paris to life in this reader's imagination, with her descriptions of the sites, smells and ambiance unique to Paris. But this story is about so much more than the location. It is about a man hoping to fulfill the list of promises he made to his dying brother. A dream they both shared to see the world together. It is also about forging ahead after a toxic relationship almost broke Joy's spirit. Joy hopes that she will be able to reinvent herself by embracing a new language and culture. Instead Joy finds her true self and the love of her life. I received an advanced copy to review and have provided an honest opinion. However, it is not difficult to be honest when reviewing books by Lauren Blakely because she never disappoints! This reader highly recommends anything written by Lauren Blakely.

This story grabbed my heart!

In this charming standalone romance, Griffin and Joy meet in Paris, after she has moved there for a job. Griffin is hired by her company to be her translator, and the sparks between them are undeniable. Unfortunately, Griffin has a plan to travel the globe, and Joy doesn’t want to mix business with pleasure. Blakely writes a heartfelt romance and lightens it with her trademark humorous style. The characters are so very likable; Griffin is my new book boyfriend— I can’t resist a man with a sexy British accent. This story grabbed my heart and wrung it out just a bit. Paris is a third character in the story, so well described that I could envision it as if I was there. A lovely romance!

Wanderlust will seduce your senses and leave you wanting more!

I don’t know how Blakely does it, kicks out so many books so quickly and never makes them repetitive or boring! Quite the opposite, they draw you in and keep you interested. Wanderlust will seduce your senses and leave you begging for another whiff, another taste of all the sensual pleasures Paris has to offer. It was like I was right there with Joy and Griffin as they explore all the sights and pleasures of Paris. I’ve never been but have always wanted to go. And if I can’t go, reading this book was the next best thing, satisfying a small craving I have for the history and wonder of Paris. It was that good! The characters are amazing. I love Joys quirkiness, and lust for finding that next chapter in her life. For finding pleasure in all the small things around her. A pastry, finding hidden gems all around Paris, she does with the with wonder of a child. Each new thing thrilling and exciting to her. She’s a character I really enjoyed reading about. And Griffin, oh my. Griffin stole my heart. With a heartache that he is desperately trying to mend, he is on a mission to fulfill a list. He’s passionate, sexy and fun. The banter between these two is incomparable to any other. And the attraction sizzling between them is intense, from the very first moment. ****The truth is she doesn’t owe me a thing. As I walk home, I let my mind replay the afternoon with her. Someday, when I’m searching for lost hours, these are the ones I’ll want to find. Ah, such a romantic story set in one of the most romantic cities on the planet. This book definitely was a fantastic read, one I enjoyed every single word of!

5+++ stars!! Loved this book!!

5+++ Stars for Wanderlust!!! I loved loved loved Lauren Blakely's newest release. This book is the sweetest, dreamiest, most magical work from this author to date. With a swoony British hero, an effervescent American heroine and a passionate love story, there is no doubt in my mind Lauren Blakely has another winner on her hands!! I mean c'mon, that's romance gold. I am so in love with the characters. Griffin and Joy share an insane level of chemistry. I couldn't get enough of them. I enjoyed their fun and flirty interactions and their made for each other connection. Right off the bat, you noticed how perfect they are together. Lauren Blakely always gives us the best heroines. Women who are real and good. Joy is a freakin’ delight in Wanderlust. She’s fun, sassy and bold. My favorite thing about her is how she loves. Whether it's a guy, chocolate or a pink door, she loves with everything she has. I absolutely adore her!! Then there’s Griffin. He's just another perfect Lauren Blakely hero. Incredibly charming, hotter than hot, and just plain yummy. I'm crushing pretty hard on him. There were moments that I wanted to give him a hug because of what he lost. I'm so happy Griffin and Joy have each other. I have never been the girl who longed to go to Paris. Beautiful city but it just wasn't for me. That is it wasn't until now. Lauren Blakely did a phenomenal job painting a portrait of a gorgeous city filled with hidden gems and unknown quirks. I now have another item added to the ever-growing bucket list thanks to Wanderlust. I loved this book so much and I highly highly recommend it. Wanderlust is the kind of book where you let out a dream sigh when you reach the end and then make plans to reread it. So romantic and charming. Pick it up immediately.

Six Stars!

6 Hearts! Wanderlust is Lauren’s next epic romance. I have read all of Lauren’s novels and loved each and every one of them but this is one of my favorites!! It was everything I expected and more. Three months. That is how much time they had to explore the city of lights. To discover the unexpected in one of the most magical cities in the world. Three months of falling in love... Joy has always wanted to visit Paris and now she will be living there. This was her time. She was ready for a fresh start. It was time to let go of the past and just live. To explore. To find herself. This job opportunity for running a fragrance lab in Paris came at the perfect moment, it felt right. She wasn’t looking for anything more than this. Then he spoke. She wasn’t expecting him. She could handle a man with an Australian accent. She could handle a man with a French accent. A man with a British accent made her weak in the knees especially one that looked like him. Griffin Thomas. Her translator. Griffin loved American women. They were bold. They were confident. They knew what they wanted. And she wanted to learn the language. She also wanted to make their time pleasurable just they way he did but they couldn’t go there. But they could walk the streets of Paris. Find the unexpected. Tour the city like they belonged there. Take long walks with great conversations about dreams, family, traveling, and angels. Drink hot chocolate and walk through pink doors. Until one of them breaks and they have the most epic first kiss. This is how you fall in love in Paris. Three months until one has to get on a plane to fulfill a dream. A promise. Today...I was in Paris. The way Lauren describes the city made me feel that way. I have never been there but I felt it. As I was reading it was like I was walking the streets with Griffin and Joy. Sitting at a cafe eating a chocolate croissant. Walking in the rain. It was a beautiful day. Griffin and Joy made it even better. Their connection. Their beauty. Their love. Their silliness. I loved Griffin. He is one sexy Brit but he is more than that. He is loyal. He is sweet. He is romantic. He is also filthy. And he makes Joy feel desired, adored, and strong. And I loved her. She goes for what she wants. She is brave, funny, and full of passion. Together, they are magic. Overall...it’s one of the most romantic books of 2018! I usually cry once in a Lauren book but this time around it was a handful of times. I was invested in this couple. Not just because of their love and amazing sex. It was also about their hopes and dreams. Together or apart. Quotes: This woman might be the toughest client I’ve ever had, since I’m going to spend every second resisting her. “I’ll take the rain to get the diamonds,” she says, then reaches into her bag and fishes around for something. “Enjoy every day, and eat it like a fruit,” I say in a low, dirty whisper.

Perfection!

Le livre entier a touché mon coeur et mon âme. C’était un beau, romantique, émouvant périple à travers Paris et les coeurs de 2 personnes qui étaient destinés. ** Have you been to Paris? If you have, you will smile your way through this book, as it is as much a love note to one of the world's amazing cities as it is about the romance between Griffin and Joy. If you haven't been to Paris, this book will make you feel like you have...reading this book feels like Paris. All of the details are right, the little French shrugs, the scarves, the cafes where you sit on top of one another, drinking coffee and wearing black, the narrow streets. You are transported to Paris. And, it is magical. Lauren Blakely has a way with words, and she is a gifted storyteller. I love her books, and I am always one of the first in line to tell anyone who will listen how amazing she is. But this book. This. Book. I have no words. It took the perfection of her previous books and it raised the bar. It's the absolute best thing I have ever read by Lauren, and it is the best book I have ever read set in Paris. I smiled the entire time. My heart was engaged from the beginning and I felt the genuine joy of the story, the characters, and the setting. And, even in the parts that were a little sad, or more emotional (one specifically where I was literally crying too hard to keep reading) my heart was engaged. To write a story that captivates you this completely, it's stunning. I am in awe of the writing, and of her ability to make me connect this deeply with the words on the page. The story itself, from a plot angle, works. Joy is in a position in her company where bringing her over to Paris, even though she is not fluent in French and needs a translator makes sense. From their first meeting, where they do not know who one another is, to the disappointment when they realize their attraction can't be acted on because of their work relationship, to their slow romantic burn of their growing attraction and their happily ever after, your heart is engaged. Books just don't get better than this. 5 stars aren't enough. 10 stars *might* be getting closer. **The whole book touched my heart and soul. It was a beautiful, romantic, emotional journey through Paris and the hearts of 2 people who were meant to be.

Wonderful!!!

Wanderlust was, for lack of a better word, WONDERFUL!!! This book was beautiful, romantic, sweet, fun and sexy!! Paris, chocolate and a hot British man, what more could you ask for!! The writing was brilliant. I’ve never been to Paris , but I could clearly visualize everything! I couldn’t put this book down! 5 WANDERLUST STARS!!!

Ooh la la!

What a ridiculously romantic story! I sooooo want to visit Paris! Joy is just amazing, lively, and so relatable. Griffin. Oh, Griffin! I can’t even articulate how much I love Griffin. Like Joy, I have a real weakness for a British accent. The emotion in this story rocked me. It was so satisfying to see Griffin come full circle with his bucket list. I was granted an early copy of this book for an honest review. And I honestly loved it. 150% Devoured it.

Sweet and Swoony Romance!

What a sweet and swoony romance! Joy and Griffin were playful and fun, but they also had red hot chemistry. I loved the build up between these two. Their initial meeting is more lust driven, but the reality of their situation keeps them from taking it further than anything professional. Well, at least initially. ;) I really enjoyed seeing their friendship blossom and grow organically. When they can no longer deny their feelings, it feels natural and right that they would take this chance to explore their relationship. Joy and Griffin are more mature characters and there is no other man or woman drama. I appreciated that our characters knew what they wanted and stayed true to themselves. Each of them has dreams and passions that the other nurtures and supports. I loved that they were strong individually as well as together. Both had emotional baggage, but they were actively working to get past it and become better people because of it. The epilogue left me with a huge smile on my face and fans of Lauren Blakely will love this newest adventure! *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*

The perfect romance

Lauren knows how to write the perfect romance. Wanderlust was delightful and passionate. The amazing descriptions of Paris made me feel like I was there as well. Joy and Griffin were just pure and personable characters. Both had their sadden past but still wanted to enjoy life and strive for that happiness. The instant attraction that needed to be muted till it was ready to burst over made for a romantic journey. I enjoyed seeing the friendship and relationship between the two blossom and also the intensity of their characters as the story progressed. It was heartwarming to read. The writing was spectacular and had me charmed with the book. This is a story about two people filled with wanderlust in the city of lights finding that one great spark. Wanderlust was a beautiful story filled with the right amount of sweet, naughtiness, melancholy, and amusement. Just a lovely read.

LKKtechie

Sweetness at its best!

Another great escape from Lauren Blakely. Joy is a woman coming off a bad break up in Texas(my home state) and has decided to make a giant change in her life by taking a new job in Paris as a chemist for a perfume company. Griffin is a native of Britain (ohh, that accent) who is living in Paris to complete a bucket list of items. As fate would have it Griffin has been hired by Joy’s company to be her translator for 3 months. Griffin and Joy spend office time working together and also personal time to “immerse” Joy in the French language. But, Griffin’s plans are to leave in time to run a marathon in Indonesia. This story seemed so much more emotional, in the most beautiful way, to me. Lauren has spun such a beautiful story of two people coming together. I found myself teary eyed with 5 chapters left!! But what is a Lauren Blakely book without the required swoon-worthy, heart of gold hero plus a delicious British accent and one very strong, knows what she wants heroine? Well, it is all of that and soooo much more, the HEA! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Litljen00

* 5 étoiles magnifique *

Oh my swoon!!!!! Lauren Blakely has once again stolen my heart with this romantic, funny and emotional story set in the City of Light. And let me tell you, the setting of the story is just as important as the plot itself as Blakely paints the most stunning portrait of one of the most romantic places on earth. She wowed me with every little detail she included and while I've never been to Paris myself, I felt as if I was there right along with the characters, enjoying and discovering everything the city had to offer. From the food to the vendors, to the gardens and the architecture, Blakely takes readers on a magical tour of Paris as told through the dual POV of Joy, an American transplant and Griffin, a British translator currently living in France. And what a journey it is!! Wanderlust is the kind of book that hits you right where it counts. It's a slow burn love story with heart. Joy and Griffin's initial meet-cute is sweet and funny and sets the stage for a whirlwind friendship/love story that readers will adore. These two characters and their friends are so incredibly fun! Joy is a breath of fresh air---her sassy sense of humor, her zest for life and love for all things quirky and French make her the quintessential female lead. She's the kind of character I could see myself being drawn to in real life. Griffin, you sexy, sexy Brit, if I could conjure up the perfect hero, you would be my top pick! Yup, he's as swoon-worthy as you think he will be. Considering this is a LAUREN BLAKELY novel, this should come as no surprise. What sets Griffin apart from her previous leading men though is something heartbreaking yet heartwarming. His story is one that will put that lump in your throat...you know the one where you feel like you are going to ugly cry any minute but you don't yet you can't swallow because your heart has basically risen to your throat and seized up. Yup, that's what happened to me! I definitely got a bit teary during some parts but have no fear......this story is NOT a sad one! It's light-hearted, fun and of course sexy as sin with a side of emotion that was written flawlessly. Because, you know.....Lauren Blakely. I enjoyed every second of the slow romantic build between these two dynamic characters. Their witty banter was easy and flirty and very entertaining. I loved Joy and Griffin's friends and can't wait to explore their stories further in future books. Wanderlust is a book you need to bump to the top of your TBR. You'll laugh, you'll shed a tear, you'll swoon (and swoon HARD my friends!) and you will fall hopelessly in love with Griffin and Joy as they find the one thing in each other that they didn't think they wanted or needed. This is an epic love story that will sweep you off your feet and restore your faith in love. Once finished, you'll wish there was more because it was just THAT GOOD. I truly didn't want it to end. Ms. Blakely, you have stolen my heart once again and I can honestly say that I don't want it back. 5 tres fabuleux stars!

Life Is For The Living

About this book! You will laugh, a lot. You will cry, a lot. You will fall in love with Joy and Griffin. There is witty banter. Scorching love scenes. Beautiful phrasing like “Maybe this is what it feels like to move through grief. You never truly get over the loss of someone you love. But you get by, you get through, you get around”. Lauren also introduces lovely characters. There is angst. And then there is Paris. A beautiful city Lauren leads us through. Wanderlust is about living after the death of a loved one. That is the reason Griffin is in Paris. Living after a toxic relationship ends. Reinventing yourself in a new city, new country, a new language, an opportunity with a new job. That is why Joy is in Paris. Both finding a beautiful new love. A bittersweet parting. Ambitions fulfilled. Will Joy and Griffin find each other again? I highly suggest you listen to the Audible version while you read along with the book. Grace Grant brings, American, Joy Danvers Lively to life. Richard Armitage just is Griffin Thomas. His British accent adds so much to the story, and is so sexy! Joy and Griffin speaking phrases in French are delicious! I want to learn French. Experience Paris. Walk through the streets, see all the things Joy saw. Meet my own Griffin, ooh la la! In reality I would probably eat my way through France. Seriously this is a must read book. A beautiful, beautiful story.

Pure perfection!

It's no secret that I adore Lauren Blakely. Her writing never ceases to amaze me but Wanderlust? It just blew me away. The story is so incredibly full of love and passion-both characters and life in general- that I was moved to tears more than once. This is a book that I will come back to over and over again. I quite simply adored Joy and Griffin. I was grinning from the moment the book began. I don't know if there has ever been a character name more suited to a character than Joy. She brings happiness and laughter, she's quick and funny and so incredibly brave. She doesn't always feel it, but she takes many leaps of faith that had me applauding her. I would absolutely love to visit her in Paris and sit down for a cup of hot chocolate, or champagne, on her rooftop. Griffin? Well, hello swoon. He is absolutely, hands down, one of my all time book boyfriends. He nudged some pretty impressive ones out of the way to grab his spot, but he's worth it. He is such a sweetheart and so romantic. But there's a vulnerability to him that more than once I found myself just wanting to reach through the book and hold him. I'm sure Joy wouldn't mind. He's so sexy as well-obviously. These two have intense chemistry. But their connection is so much more than physical. They understand each other. Their sexy times are incredibly sexy, but their time spent exploring the city? Learning about one another? Just magical. The narration of this book brought it to life for me. Normally, I read a book and then get the audio to keep me company while I work. That being said, I am glad this one released in audio first. Hearing these narrators tell this story added a whole other level of richness to an already rich story. I loved hearing the descriptions of people and places. I truly felt I was there in Paris with them, experiencing this story. I don't know that my imagination would have done these characters and this setting justice. But Grace Grant and Richard Armitage took me on the best audio journey ever. There's a theme of time and moments in this book, and that really hit home for me. It connected me to these characters as I could understand exactly what they meant. Listening to some of the lines made me hit pause and reflect on what the characters were saying. I was moved to tears-again, more than once. This story was incredibly beautiful and lush. I'm already listening again as I write this because I just can't get enough. The story and narration were perfection. If I could give this more than five stars I would. I adored it and cannot recommend it highly enough.

5+++ stars!! Loved this book!!

* 5 étoiles magnifique *

One of your best stories, of two people falling in love in the end finally getting married. Yes, a can’t put the book down.

5+++ stars!! Loved this book!!

* 5 étoiles magnifique *
